Στο πλαίσιο των ημερίδων του Ινστιτούτου Πολιτικών Ερευνών του ΕΚΚΕ διοργανώθηκε (30.5.2023) υβριδική εκδήλωση με θέμα: «Κατανοώντας τον ακροδεξιό λαϊκισμό και τι να κάνουμε για να τον αντιμετωπίσουμε: Η Ελλάδα σε συγκριτική προοπτική» Η kαθηγήτρια Συγκριτικής Πολιτικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο του York, Δάφνη Χαλικιοπούλου, παρουσιάζει τα στοιχεία της μελέτης (με τον Dr. Tim Vlandas, Πανεπιστήμιο της Οξφόρδης) για τους κοινωνικούς, οικονομικούς και πολιτιστικούς παράγοντες που συμβάλλουν στην άνοδο της ακροδεξιάς από τη δεκαετία του 2010 και ύστερα. Ο ερευνητής του Ινστιτούτου Κοινωνικών Ερευνών Γιώργος Μπιθυμήτρης συζητά για τις βασικές έννοιες που χρησιμοποιεί ο συγγραφέας Αντρέας Ρέκβιτς, στο βιβλίο του Το τέλος των ψευδαισθήσεων που κυκλοφόρησε πρόσφατα από τις εκδόσεις Αλεξάνδρια σε μετάφραση της Ε. Τομπόρη. Πρόκειται για μια πρωτότυπη κοινωνιολογική προσέγγιση της ύστερης νεωτερικότητας, μια θεωρητική σύνθεση που προσεγγίζει το νεωτερικό υποκείμενο εντός της κοινωνικής του ύπαρξης από την οπτική των αδυναμιών του και κυρίως τονίζοντας τη διάψευση ακόμα και φευγαλέων προσδοκιών. Ο Γώργος Μπιθυμήτρης προλόγισε την έκδοση και ανέλαβε την επιστημονική επιμέλεια του έργου.

Ο ερευνητής του Ινστιτούτου Κοινωνικών Ερευνών Γιώργος Μπιθυμήτρης συζητά για τις βασικές έννοιες που χρησιμοποιεί ο συγγραφέας Αντρέας Ρέκβιτς, στο βιβλίο του Το τέλος των ψευδαισθήσεων που κυκλοφόρησε πρόσφατα από τις εκδόσεις Αλεξάνδρια σε μετάφραση της Ε. Τομπόρη.
